Patrick Maluki (PhD)

Dr. Patrick Maluki is the Chairman of the Department of Diplomacy and International Studies, UoN and Co-chair of the Sustainable Solutions Development Network-Kenya (SDSN) Kenya. He is also the Chairman of the Diplomacy Scholars Association of Kenya (DIPSAK). He is an experienced trainer and researcher in International Conflict Management, International Negotiation, International Mediation, International Political economy, Diplomacy, human rights and governance, and peace building issues. He has carried out academic research and published extensively.

In 2017 I carried out a study entitled strengthening community’s resilience against radicalization and violent extremism in Kenya. In 2013, he carried out a research on the gender dimension of international terrorism and in 2012 conducted a baseline survey on the status of human rights in Kenya. In 2018 carried out a study on Governance and MDGs sponsored by Africa Development Bank and a research on countering violent extremism in Kenyan Universities in collaboration with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI). Currently, he is implementing sustainable development solutions in Kenya under the Sustainable Development Solutions Network- Kenya Chapter (Clean Energy as an Answer to Energy Poverty in Vihiga County, Kenya).

I am the Chief Editor, Africa Journal of International Studies and the Founder and Director of Lenakakya School Project.

Eng. Christopher Wambua Kimeu

Eng. Christopher holds a Second Class Honors Degree in BSc. Civil & structural Engineering from Egerton University, Bachelor’s Degree, Military Science from Egerton University, a Post – Graduate Certificate in Information Systems Engineering from The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). And a MSc in Project Management at The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) He is a Registered Professional Civil/Structural Engineer with The Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)}; a Corporate Member with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).

He has over 15-year distinguished wealth of experience in infrastructure projects delivery across East Africa, an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who has a clear understanding of the role and responsibilities associated with being a civil &structural engineer and Security. Having the ability to provide support for multiple concurrent priorities, Christopher is able to establish, maintain and develop effective working relationships with service users, operational teams, delivery Partners and colleagues. He possesses a broad range of technical, personal effectiveness and leadership and security skills, uses rigorous logic and methods to come up with effective solutions to difficult problems. As someone who is comfortable with and able to effectively cope with change, he has a long track record of making best use of any available resources and techniques.

Chris is the Director of Osmotic Engineering Group- Kenya. And the Managing Director of The Prana Group Limited -Kenya. He will bring onboard key skills in projects that entail the construction of physical infrastructure such as dams, buildings and installations among others.

Rabecca Kavithe Ndeto – secretary

Rabecca is a Masters of Arts in Diplomacy student at the University of Nairobi with an undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Arts (Political Science and Psychology) from the same institution . She is a former student leader at the Faculty of Arts, and served as a Gender Representative for two years, University of Nairobi. During elementary school period, she served as a class prefect f or eight years. She is passionate about International relations and diplomacy in the Post-Cold War era. Previously, she worked as a consultant for Intergovernmental Authority for Development on Eco systemic crisis management in the Horn of Africa.

She is currently working as an Assistant Office Administrator at Turkana University College and concurrently as a researcher for Vihiga County Green Energy Project (Clean Energy as an Answer to Energy Poverty in Vihiga County, Kenya). She has knowledge in leadership, international economy, diplomacy, research, international negotiations, international mediation, diplomacy and the media and environmental diplomacy.

Her interest is in Leadership, Peace and Conflict Resolutions in Africa and Creation of Sustainable Economy and Environment to the African Community. As a researcher, she is currently working on two documents for presentation and publication;

  • APPRA Conference 2022 in India; Different Dynamics of Refugees and Migrations and Mobility of People:-A Case Study of Kakuma, Kenya.
  • Sister-City International Conference 2023 in South Africa; Nairobi City as a Diplomacy Hubfor Africa.

Rabecca brings strong research and analytical skills to PEACE projects with research components. She will also play critical roles in green energy and climate change mitigation projects; thanks to the experience in related projects in related projects.
